Installation

This software should install over the top of previous installations.

This Software only runs on Windows XP Professional SP1 or SP2.

The PC is stressed quite heavily during use.
It is advisable to use the fastest possible PC. There is a lot of disk access, network access and processor useage during the MediaLaoder process, so a fast PC will radically improve the overall speed of loading CDs.

Issues Resolved in MediaLoader 3.02.300

The software will install and run with XP SP1 and SP2.
Fixed some issues with recording "empty" CDs to the SoundServer
Fixed some issues with not detecting the PowerFile C200s

Issues Resolved in MediaLoader 3.1.0.1 (18.5.2004):

Changed the installation package to optionally disable conflicting Windows services (Shell Hardware Detection, Removable Storage Manager & Autorun on DVD/CD drives). Uninstallation will restore them if disabled during installation.
Updated the Gracenote support to use latest Windows SDK release. It now no longer asks for per-user registration on first use and simply asks the user to agree to the Gracenote terms & conditions.
Fixed the issue where media files are created which are empty but have metadata associated with them and thus appear as valid music to play on the server.  
Fixed the Unsuccessful installion of drivers for the Powerfile device.

Tested Configurations:

MediaLoader testing has been conducted using a laptop running XP Pro with SP1 and SP2 using the Belkin Firewire Cardbus Adaptor F5U512 and using a desktop machine running XP Pro with SP1 and SP2 using the Adaptec AFW-4300A Firewire card.
Only the Powerfile C200s is currently supported.
