Installation Instructions

1. Install Palm OS onto your PC. This is supplied on CDROM with your Palm OS PDA.
2. Connect the PDA  to the PC using the USB cradle and press Hotsync on the cradle.
3. Note down the Palm User Name used for Hotsync. You can call your PDA anything you like; most people use their first name or initials.
4. Install the remote.prc, ORLib.prc and XiVA Tacta.prc files from this CDROM. Double clicking on them one at a time will add them to the install list.
5. Press the Hotsync button on the PDA Cradle once more to install the  applications.
6. Connect the PDA  to the SoundServer using the USB cradle and press Hotsync on the cradle.
7. Remove PDA from cradle
8. Run the "XIVA TACTA" or "Systemline" program on the PDA and press Register. This will reveal a unique 24 digit number for that SoundServer.
9. Email/Phone Imerge Support with the Palm User Name, 24 digit number and the Gift Voucher Number supplied with the Tacta CDROM
10. Imerge Support will issue an 8 digit number in response.
11. Enter the 8 digit response into the PDA
12. Shortly after this you will receive a seperate licence key for the Omni-Remote software. (This needs to be installed within 15 days or else the Systemline XiVA Tacta software will stop working.)
13. Run the "Remote" program on the PDA. (You may be asked whether you wish to use internal IR or external IR; choose internal.)
14. Go to Options>Registration and enter the registration Code
15. Close the Remote program and re-run the XiVA Tacta program.

What is Omni-Remote Software?

The remote.prc and orlib.prc files form the Omni-Remote software from www.pacificneotek.com. The orlib.prc is required for the XiVA tacta software to function properly. The software is purchased a part of the XiVA tacta package. You may use the Omni-Remote software to control other devices in your home if you desire.
